I am a Yorkshire based artist creating a variety of colourful interpretations of my favourite places, from the Yorkshire countryside, to places close to my heart, including the Lake District, Cornwall and further afield.
I enjoy an experimental approach to creating artwork, using acrylics and watercolour/mixed media to build layers and create movement and texture. The result is a celebration of the joy our natural surroundings can bring, and the imperfect rugged beauty of landscapes and seascapes. I also enjoy drawing and often produce pencil sketches of animals.
I studied Art and Design at school and have a BTEC Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art and Design. After completing my degree, I worked as a New Media Designer and Web Developer. I am currently working as the Operations Manager at Ilkley Manor House Museum and Gallery.
