Andreea Chitan is a Romanian artist, curator, and creative producer. Her multidisciplinary practice moves fluidly between photography, moving image, installation, and text, forming a language that probes liminality—the spaces between places, identities, and states of being. Her work does not seek resolution but rather dwells in ambiguity, exploring how moments of transition, absence, and transformation might be visually articulated. Chitan’s practice is underpinned by a critical inquiry into memory, identity, and the shifting architectures of perception. Simultaneously occupying the roles of artist, curator, and producer, Chitan cultivates a space where creation and facilitation coexist. Her curatorial and production work reflects a commitment to dialogue, care, and collaboration—foregrounding practices and artists that challenge dominant structures and embrace multiplicity.
