Marianna Easter
Marianna is an artist who primarily works on “living canvas” aka the face!
She has worked for many years in tv, and on commercial and editorial shoots. Most recently she brings her expertise to local women through teaching makeup skills to empower them to feel and look their best with personalised makeup lessons at her Ilkley studio. This is now the main focus of her work, but equally getting creative and messy with makeup on any part of the body and face by exploring and pushing the boundaries of this medium is always exciting.
Katrina Thompson
North Yorkshire based, Katrina has been developing her skills in acrylic and mixed media for the last year.
Originally a graphite and coloured pencil artist, she has blended her background as an architectural technologist, with a passion for detail, and her love of vibrant colour.
Her work is heavily influenced by contemporary Spanish art, Colour Field painting and the Op Art movement. In particular, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Bridget Riley and Frank Stella. Not wanting to be confined to one genre, Katrina's work can be identified by impasto palette knife strokes with a range of colours designed to stimulate the eye and imagination
Caroline Hudson
Based in Haworth, I live and work in an old West Yorkshire textile mill building called Damside Mill. Our gallery and my studio are open to visitors by appointment or periodically for exhibitions.
I predominantly work with paint and clay. I think of my ceramic vessels as 3D abstract paintings. They are hand built, layered with slips, oxides and glazes. When fired they evolve to become an object that may have been weathered or forged by the environment.
I use oil paint, often over or with different mixed media materials, on wood, paper and canvas.
Joyce Simpson
I am a published digital artist and photographer based in Yorkshire.
My work is driven by a deep passion for creating art that leaves a lasting impact - pieces that stir the imagination, evoke emotional responses and challenge perception.
Through the medium of photography, I craft unique digital artworks that transform reality into something far beyond the ordinary.
